Boehringer Ingelheim Pyramid 3 LPH Cattle Vaccine is designed for the vaccination of healthy cattle to assist in preventing diseases caused by bovine virus diarrhea (types 1 and 2), Leptospira hardjo, and Leptospira pomona. Additionally, it helps reduce diseases caused by bovine rhinotracheitis virus. The product plays a role in preventing persistent BVD type 1 and type 2 infections in fetal calves when administered subcutaneously in cows or heifers 30 to 60 days before breeding.

This vaccine can be used in pregnant cows or calves nursing pregnant cows, provided that the cows were vaccinated pre-breeding, following label instructions, with Pyramid 5, Pyramid 10, or Pyramid 3. To use the vaccine, rehydrate it aseptically with the provided diluent, shake well, and administer a single 2 mL dose subcutaneously using aseptic technique. Annual revaccination is recommended, and it is crucial to protect animals from exposure for at least 14 days after vaccination. Calves vaccinated under 6 months of age should receive a revaccination at 6 months of age.
